Authors submitting to IJSBE are required to affirm that:
Their submission is original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The manuscript represents their own work and has not been plagiarized in any form.
Any conflict of interest, whether actual or potential, have been fully disclosed.
Any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the research have been transparently declared.
We apply this policy fairly and rigorously, and we reserve the right to take appropriate action against violations, including but not limited to retraction, reporting to institutional authorities, and blacklisting of authors found to be in breach of ethical standards.
IJSBE aligns its editorial practices with internationally recognized guidelines, such as those established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to ensure ethical behavior by all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers.
The Editor(s)-in-Chief of the journal International Journal of Sustainable Business and Economy (IJSBE), published by the Indian Centre for Social Science and Management Research, are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published or accepted for publication.
In making publication decisions, the Editor(s)-in-Chief may be guided by the views and suggestions of the journal’s editorial board and may confer with other editors or reviewers as necessary.
The Editor(s) in Chief of the journal also ensure that each manuscript undergoes 'blind' peer review by a minimum of two reviewers. Also, before the paper is even accepted for consideration, we use one of the best possible industry tools to check for plagiarism and immediately reject any paper with a similarity score of more than 15%.
Book series editors serve as the first level of quality control for submitted proposals. However, each proposal is also reviewed by at least one additional independent reviewer. In addition, random checks are conducted on the listed editors or authors to ensure that they are aware of and have provided consent for their inclusion in the proposal.
Unpublished materials contained within a submitted manuscript must not be used in any form by individuals who have access to the manuscript during the review process. This includes incorporating such content into their own research or disclosing it to others. Use of any such material is strictly prohibited without the explicit written consent of the author(s).
To uphold the highest standards of integrity, the journal regularly updates its reviewer database and conducts periodic spot checks to ensure that all referees adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain the confidentiality of the peer-review process.
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy. The journal’s move toward a double-blind review process is intended to help ensure fairness and impartiality in editorial decisions.
The Editor-in-Chief, editors, and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.
Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors must be kept confidential and be treated as privileged information.
Reviews should be conducted objectively, and there shall be no personal criticism of the author(s). Reviewers are expected to express their views clearly and support their evaluations with appropriate arguments. The journal aims to implement a double-blind review system by this year.
Reviewers are expected to identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any claim or statement that has been previously published should be properly referenced with the appropriate citation. Additionally, reviewers should alert the Editor-in-Chief to any significant similarities or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other published work known to them.
Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour and are unacceptable.
Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review (if required) and should be prepared to provide public access to such, if practicable, and should in any event be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are entirely original works. If the work or words of others have been used, appropriate citation or quotation is required. Proper acknowledgment of the contributions of others is essential. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
In general, authors should not submit manuscripts describing essentially the same research to more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is considered unethical publishing behavior and is strictly unacceptable. Redundant publication, where the same data or findings are published in multiple places without proper cross-referencing or justification, is also discouraged.
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
Should an author discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify us and cooperate with us to retract or correct the article.
